Colorado Concealed Handgun Training
This is an in-person-only Colorado concealed handgun training record. No portion of the qualifying instruction is intended to be completed remotely. The instructor conducts the required legal, safety, storage, use-of-force, confrontation-management, written-exam, practical, and live-fire portions in person. No forced lesson timer is used.
Assessment: The course uses one written Final Examination containing exactly 25 questions and focuses on Colorado state law, federal law, and what to consider before, during, and after a confrontation. A score of 80% (20 of 25 correct) is required.
Live-fire requirement: Both Initial and Renewal/Refresher training include the required handgun live-fire exercise of at least 50 rounds with a minimum 70% accuracy score recorded by the instructor.
Enrollment: Choose Initial ($180) or Renewal ($125). Renewal enrollment requires the student’s current concealed handgun permit number. Students who also need Security Guard Firearms or other training can add this base course in the Training Package builder; the Classroom calculates the applicable package price without creating duplicate curriculum.
Certificates: Concealed-carry students receive the Colorado concealed-handgun training certificate for this course and are not shown Denver, Colorado Springs, or Pueblo security-guard certificate choices. Renewal enrollment uses the renewal certificate wording and prints the current permit number.
Current-law review: The curriculum is based on the administrator-supplied presentation and does not independently update its legal statements. Verify current statutes, forms, agency procedures, and application requirements before instruction or application use.
