Colorado Security Guard Firearms and Familiarization Training

Colorado security-guard firearms training package: This one course supports the applicable firearm-training certificate documentation for Denver, Colorado Springs, and/or Pueblo. Students select the certificate jurisdiction(s) they need at enrollment. Each city still controls its own guard-license/endorsement application and any employer-specific requirements.

Delivery: When purchased by itself, this is a hybrid course. The Classroom coursework may be completed online during the active enrollment period, but the firearms practical and live-fire range qualification are instructor-led and must be completed in person. If this course is selected in a Training Package that also contains an in-person course, the entirety of this course and every other selected course in that package is treated as in-person training. No course uses a forced lesson timer.

The course uses the same full curriculum as the concealed-handgun course while maintaining a separate security-guard enrollment and certificate path. It covers legal, safety, responsibility, storage, transportation, confrontation-avoidance, post-incident, handgun-familiarization, and completion topics from the supplied Triple A Coach presentation.

Assessment: The course uses one written Final Examination containing exactly 25 questions and focuses on Colorado state law, federal law, and what to consider before, during, and after a confrontation. The configured threshold is 75%; with 25 whole questions, the first passing score is 76% (19 of 25 correct). The required in-person range/practical requirement is recorded separately by the instructor.

Price: Security Guard Firearms and Familiarization Training is $220. Customers who need both Security Guard Firearms and Concealed Handgun Permit training should select both base courses in the Training Package builder. The established $320 package price is applied automatically when eligible.

Certificates: Security-guard students may select the applicable Denver, Colorado Springs, and/or Pueblo firearm-training certificate templates linked to this course. Those city certificate choices are not shown to concealed-carry students.
